It’s almost time to visit the dentist again. My teeth have lost a bit of luster from age and my coffee and wine habits. You know how it goes. A proper cleaning from the dentist definitely helps, but they’re just not as bright as they once were. I wanted to brighten my smile, easily, at home.

Years ago, before my wedding, I did one of those in-office whitening treatments at the dentist’s office. It worked great! But, it left my teeth feeling pretty sensitive for a few weeks. This made me a bit nervous, and is definitely not something I want to do on a regular basis. I do want white teeth, and not to be self-conscious about my smile, but I do not want to damage my teeth to get it. I wanted to find a way to brighten my smile without harsh chemicals.

Is there something gentler?

I decided to look and see if there was a whitening system that was effective, but a bit less harsh. I found that pretty much all systems use the same peroxide-based gel. This is the same thing that the dentist used, and I don’t think that’s the answer for regular use, on my sensitive teeth.
